Kentucky Straight Bourbon crafted with spirit. Finished on Sherry barrel staves for added interest and complexity. Notes of caramel and vanilla dance over the subtle oak nuance imparted from charred new White Oak. Truly a Bourbon worthy of note.

DSP-KY-10

Issued the 10th distillery license in KY DSP-KY-10 opened its doors as the Green River Distillery in 1885, Our storied distillery in Owensboro Kentucky has been producing bourbon and rye for nearly 130 years.

Several storied Kentucky Bourbon brands have been distilled within our walls. Today the distillery stands proud as the westernmost location on the famed Kentucky Bourbon trail.

Over the years, the distillery has been subject to numerous transformations and setbacks such as ownership changes, fire, prohibition, and bankruptcies. After sitting vacant and in disrepair for nearly 25 years, in 2014, the property was purchased, and industry experts were brought in to resurrect the distillery back to and beyond its former glory. Through extensive renovation that perfectly melded the site’s historic and traditional components with the best and most efficient distilling equipment, the distillery is once again vibrant and producing some of the best bourbon and rye available today.

Today, we continue the tradition of producing fine bourbon and rye under the watch of third generation Master Distiller Jacob Call, using only locally sourced Kentucky grown corn and oak char barrels. What’s more, the natural limestone in the local water that adds minerals to promote fermentation and add a soft, rich mouthfeel, coupled with the dramatic extremes of Kentucky weather that allow our whiskey to flow through the barrel char, complete the recipe for making so many of the best bourbons and ryes on the market. It is in fact true that the best Bourbon in world comes from Kentucky.
